NEW 2017-2018 STAMPIN’ UP! CATALOG
Hey!! I’m back with the projects I’ve designed for Split Coast Stampers as part of the Creative Crew Team for May-August 2017. It’s an honor to be asked to design for this amazing community and I’m enjoying every minute of it! I hope you like the projects I’ve created and are inspired to play along with us as we create for this month’s theme of “Promises of New Things.” Best friends day is June 8th so I also created a few of my cards that can be used for that also! The first challenge is the sketch challenge and I chose to use the NEW Memories & More Color Theory cards as my background. I am a scrapbooker but I don’t usually do pocket scrapbooking except for my Christmas album each year. These cards are perfect for me as background pieces and when I first saw the sketch I immediately knew I wanted to use the new Memories and More cards. I’m in love with the new ribbon from the incolor line, it’s so soft and pliable and makes great bows even though it’s wider than I normally use. Berry burst is my new color love, so I’m sure you’ll see plenty of it in my upcoming projects. The stamped sentiment is from the new Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.
Step It Up Challenge:
These 2 great cards were created with the new Daisy Designer Series paper, Pool Party and Calypso Coral cardstock. The sentiment came from Rose Wonder and the white doily is cut using the new Eastern Medallion dies. The new Daffodil Delight stitched ribbon is fantastic and I can’t wait to get some of the other colors. The faceted gems make an appearance on these cards as well, the flowers are punched using the now retired petite petal punch 😦 however there are several die sets that have flower dies that you could use to cut out some cute little flowers. The stepped up card also uses the Petal Burst embossing folder.
I love this card! I admit I have used the Eastern Medallion dies way more than I thought I ever would. I only ordered the basic Eastern Palace bundle when it was available, but when I saw the multiple ways that the framelits were being used, I had to order them and I’m so glad I did. The Wood Words Bundle is predominately featured on this card, that crate framelit is to die for!!! The wood designer series paper is over stamped with the floral stamp from Wood Words, I stamped the floral design on the flower die cuts and the sentiment is white craft ink onto the crate which is also cut from the wood designer series paper. The leaves are fussy cut from the Daisy designer series paper. Flower centers are the new faceted gems. I also used a bit of the Very Vanilla lace trim and my beloved linen thread. Card base is crumb cake cut to A2 size 8.5″ x 5.5″
Color Challenge: Strong Summer Colors
I chose to work with Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist and Calypso Coral! The stamp set is one of the NEW hostess sets available to earn for FREE today with a qualifying party order!!! I stamped the images onto one of the Color Theory Memories and More 4×6 cards which I cut down to layer onto my A2 card base! The dragonfly image is from the Touches of Texture stamp set and fussy cut.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my cards for this month’s challenges and make sure to check back often as I post new cards several times a week!!

My project this month is featuring the Oh So Succulent bundle and designer series paper. I am planning to add a picture of me and my mother from Mother’s Day to this beautiful layout using the Oh So Succulent designer series paper and dies from THREE framelit sets, Oh So Succulent, Dragonfly Dreams, and Swirly Bird. I used Sweet Sugarplum ink to do a quick watercolor wash in the background along with ink splatters. The dragonfly is painted with my wink of stella, gold thread is also used as an embellishment.
Our NC Demos had our quarterly meeting last weekend (my first one) and I was so excited to be a part of this amazing group to craft together. Hey! Just wanted to pop in and showcase a completely different way of using the new Eastern Palace Bundle! Christmas is my favorite time of the year and I create cards all year long to give to my family and friends. When I first saw the dies, my mind immediately went to a wreath and this beautiful, simple card was born! I’m using the new in color Tranqil Tide cardstock, cherry cobbler cardstock and 1/8″ gold ribbon that is retiring. The sentiment is stamped with versamark. The stamp set Reason for the Season is also retiring May 31 and I will be in mourning for it as it is absolutely beautiful! I hope you enjoy the video and please subscribe to my youtube and blog for more tutorials. Links to buy product from my online store are below! Hope you have a blessed day.
Hope you enjoy this great card! Have a blessed day
Hey crafty friends!! Just wanted to share a couple of cards using the NEW upcoming stamp/die bundle called Happy Birthday Gorgeous and some of the new incolors!!
This first card uses retiring dsp called A Little Foxy, I use the B sides of all this paper just for the fun dots, chevrons and stripes. I love the grays and blues used also! The flowers are stamped on the background using Calypso Coral Ink. The punched flowers are from the retiring (and now sold out) petite petals punch which I am still in mourning over and you will probably still see on my cards. Fortunately several of the die sets have similar flowers but the punch is still my go to as it’s quick and easy!
This beautiful card uses just the stamp set Happy Birthday Gorgeous and 2 of the new incolors: Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist. I also used Bermuda Bay and Calypso Coral and I’m loving this summery, bright combo! The new stamp/die set and the 2 new incolors will be available for purchase on June 1, 2017!
CLASS ANNOUNCEMENT! As you know I have started posting Youtube videos and have decided to start monthly product based classes starting with our new catalog in June. I will be posting more details in the next week, but basically I will be designing 3 projects and with the bundle purchase you receive the materials to create the projects and access to a facebook group with videos on creating the projects. June’s class will be using the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle and will include a bag, a tag, and a card! More details to come!
Hoping you have a blessed day!
I love this little bird stamp and just had to use up the rest of the random stamped background from the color challenge card I made a couple of weeks ago! The background is stamped with Touches of Texture. The bird, branch and sentiment is from Best Birds which is in the current catalog but is carrying over to the new one that debuts June 1, 2017! Colors used are pear pizazz, peekaboo peach, flirty flamingo, basic black, so saffron.
As promised I created six videos showcasing the Eastern Palace beginner bundle suite and posted them daily on my Facebook business page http://www.facebook.com/byrdsblessings but I decided to link them up here also! I hope you enjoy them and make sure to subscribe to my Youtube for more videos on cute, simple projects soon! Ya’ll have a blessed day!
